Christmas Gift Tag

I finnaly got the chance to start making gift tags.

Why did we do this?

I thought I had a great idea for a cub scout activity. Lets have the boys dip chocolates. I am not sure we will do this again.

This is what happens when you have 9 wolf cub scouts (8 year olds) over to dip chocolates. The boys had a lot of fun. I really do enjoy being a scout leader.

Christmas Tree Card

The tree on this card is made using 2" scallop circles cut in half then folded.  The red paper is embossed with the cuttlebug snowflakes folder.

Another Christmas Card

This is a quick simple card. I used the Martha Stewart Alpine Snowflake punch. I gilttered the snowflakes and the edge of the white square. The paper is from Making Memories.

Card Swap Cards

Ok it  has been awhile sense I posted. I got slammed with Bronchitis again! After one painful shot and bunch of  antibiotics I am finally feeling better. It happens every year, the kids go back to school and then I get sick. I think it is time for flu shots.  Anyway here is the card I came up with for my card swap this month.

I am still learning how  to take a good picture!

Simple Birthday Card

Here is a simple Birthday card I made today.  I used the mini monsters cricut cartridge for the alien and letter stickers for the words. I also stamped happy birthday on the inside.

Pickled Beets

OK I know this has nothing to do with scrapbooking, but this is what I did yesterday.
I bottled Pickled beets. My kid can't wait to eat them.

I have had some request for instructions on how I made the tombstones on the front of my Halloween mini look like stone.

Step 1: cut image out of black card stock.

Step 2: apply UTTE (ultra thick embossing pwdr) I
use versa mark ink.

Step 3: melt with heat tool.

Step 4: apply silver embossing pwdr.

Step 5: melt with heat tool.

Step 6: apply 2 nd layer of UTEE.

Step 7: melt with heat tool.

I also did the ghost on the front cover, and the fence on the
back page, using white embossing pwdr.  with the UTEE.

Halloween Mini

Here is my Halloween mini. I used several different paper collections. The cover is made out of canvas that I panted black and covered in glitter. I bound it using Laura Denisons (Following the paper trail) 3 ring binding method. Check out her blog it's a great place to find inspiration. Her link is on the left.
